The reason for such high safety ratings is because the Ford Escape features a comprehensive suite of safety and driver assistance systems that make the Ford Escape one of the safest vehicles on the road. Ford MyKey, a safety system that limits audio volume levels and speeds of travel for teenage drivers, comes standard with the Ford Escape, as does a rearview camera. Airbags in front and rear and side are included, as well as anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, and traction control.
